If you’ve ever been to Italy, there’s no doubt you’ll have come across an Aperol Spritz. I first tried this classic Italian cocktail on a recent getaway to Italy, and now every time I drink it, the taste takes me right back. Nothing beats a refreshing spritz on a warm summer’s afternoon.
Aperol Spritz is a prosecco-based cocktail commonly served as an aperitif. But don’t be fooled by its bright orange appearance – this cocktail has just the right amount of citrusy sweetness balanced out by the spirit’s natural bitter flavour. Thirsty yet? Here’s how to make the perfect Aperol Spritz…
Ingredients
- Aperol
- Prosecco
- Soda water
- Orange slices
- Lemon slices
- Sprig of mint
- Ice
Method
1. Take a large wine glass or gin goblet and fill with ice
2. Throw in the orange and lemon slices plus the sprig of mint
3. Add 60ml Aperol
4. Add 90ml prosecco
5. Add 30ml soda water
6. Serve and enjoy! Or as the Italians would say – saluti! (cheers!)
What a perfect recipe for the summer ! Thank you for sharing !
